642 Things to Write About: Start a story with...
"Start a story with the line "My mother broke every plate in the house that day."
My mom broke every plate in the house that day. Every few minutes, ceramic shrapnel shot from the center of the kitchen to the corners of the adjacent room. Then my mother shouted, "Opa!" Had I known watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding would elicit this, I would have picked something else. Then again, Pottery Barn is having a sale on Kitchenware!
